Technology Services Website

Western Suffolk BOCES helps school districts in Suffolk County plan and manage information and technology. Professional and cost effective services include planning and analysis; training, installation, support and maintenance; and library automation.

The Instructional Technology Service is a comprehensive service and as such includes at least the following areas:

• Hardware and Software
• Networks accompanying hardware and software
• Maintenance and support of hardware and networks
• Information collection and dissemination as it pertains to student progress.
• Staff development and training in instructional technology must be provided in Model Schools Service as a companion to this service.

Services are provided consistent with Regional Information standards including hardware, software and telecommunications protocols, and are coordinated with the instructional technology services of Eastern Suffolk BOCES. All services are reflected in the Region's 793 Plan.
